This band really rocks! Thank you, Jay, for pulling me on stage for the birthday song...even though I'm shy and I didn't want to go. I did have a good time up there, thanks to your kindness. And I had a great time throughout the show. Don't miss this band! Peace. Edwina P.S.The best of luck to the band in Liverpool; I know you guys will rock. Have fun and keep safe. Name: Gladys Location: Chicago Email: Gladdogz@aol.com Date: 07/24/2005 Comments P.S. Thanks so much for doing my request, "Number 9 Dream". That song must be a b**** to sing & play, but it is so worth it. You guys did justice to the piece. Very, very nicely done. Thanks for the "river of sound." Name: Gladys Location: Chicago Email: Gladdogz@aol.com Date: 07/24/2005 Comments Thank you Instant Karma for an absolute blast at Fifty North last night. The energy this band generates is incredible. You guys are amazing! Jay, your tribute to John Lennon is the absolute best and you are heads above the "rest". You're the best because you are an artist. John would have considered you a mate (and a fellow freak!) because you have the same soul, passion and connection to the music that he did. You believe in what you do and that is something real that the audience gets. Thanks for sharing the music and the artistry. Power to the people! Name: Amy Location: Dundee, IL Email: Date: 07/24/2005 Comments I just have to say that I am quickly becoming a fan of this band. I am so glad I went to see you at 50 North tonight. You played so many great songs and by the way Jay thank you for playing Hey Bulldog. Glad I wore my Instant Karma shirt for you guys. I had such a great time and looking forward to seeing more shows. If we don't get a chance to see you before you go to England be safe over there and have a great time! Take care! Name: Tom Green Location: Des Plaines , ILL. I am so glad my friends and I decided to give you guys a try. We are huge fans of American English and didn't know how you guys would compare. But we found out that there is no comparison -- you guys are refreshingly different than AE and play so many of their most rocking and soulful hits to the true Beatles fans. I especially loved "...Me and My Monkey" and "I've Got a Feeling." Jay has so much energy and soul, your bass player is incredible. Thanks for giving us an awesome show. I can't believe I've lived in this town my entire life and never knew a John Lennon sound-alike was right in town. Your enthusiasm and love for John were truly contagious to all around you. We were so fortunate to be sitting up close to the stage, during the "Concert for John". Hope your leg is OK--We were worried about you! Thanks for giving your heart and soul to us in your music. Your mom must be very proud of you. I'm sure you've heard it all again and again, but you guys were fabulous. I remember after last year's show telling my friends "you watch, next year IK will be one of the headliners!" and sure enuf! Well deserved, too. You may recall...I was the woman yelling at Jay in the elevator after you guys did "How Do You Sleep?" Well, all is forgiven...you guys were truly one of the highlights of a really great weekend. My sympathies at the loss of your Mom, Jay...I never woulda yelled at you had I known. She must have been very young and I'm certain she's very proud! Now we understand the dedication of "Woman" to her. Keep it up guys...you and British Export are always the highlights for me...there must be something in the water out there in Chicago! Gotta wait a whole 'nuther year...bummer! Email: dmyohe@comcast.net Date: 06/06/2005 Comments Jay: Kittie and I have been getting our Beatles dancing fix since your early duo days on the S. Side with Phil. Your appearance on the old Steve Dahl show did it! We're thrilled you're keeping the 'dream' alive and truly enjoyed your new band a few weeks ago at Fitzgeralds, especially when Phil and the old 'Beatle Brothers' did that brief set with you. Please put Soldier of Love in your new play list!!!! Rock on! D/K [aka 4 nippleman] Name: Karen Evans Location: Freedom, (Pittsburgh) Pa. Email: beatles@access995.com Date: 06/06/2005 Comments Hey. Just wanted to say you were simply fantastic and Jay with all the energy and moving on stage was great. I know you had as much fun performing as I had watching. Caught all your acts. However the highlight for me at AROTR was the finale. I was one of the fortunate ones to get up on stage and dance to Twist and Shout. When Jay grabed my arm and swung me around I was in 7th heaven. Something I'll aways remember. If I'm not mistaken last year in Cleveland I heard Jay doing a number with another buddy at one of the smaller stages and I said to myself...WOW!!! He's good. I'm hooked. Looking so forward to next year. Just found out about the passing of your mom. My condolences to you and your family. Best regards. Karen Name: Chris Location: Valparaiso, Indiana Email: coverton@urschel.com Date: 06/06/2005 Comments Just have to let you know how great you all were in Cleveland. We loved seeing each of your musical talents showcased as well as watching you as Instant Karma Band. You make us proud to be from the Chicago area and may be predjudiced but think that you really stole the show. We look forward to seeing you at Popcorn Fest. Knock them dead in Liverpool! Peace & Love, Chris & gang from Valpo Name: Charmaine Location: Oklahoma Email: charlieb4@cox.net Date: 06/02/2005 Comments Outstanding performance at AROTR. Your energy was amazing. This was my first trip to AROTR and I thought Instant Karma was great. Jay's enthusiasm for the John Lennon's music is infectious and the band's committment to the craft of re-creating the legend's music is superb. Being a part of the hotel sing-alongs on both Sat/Sun was one of the most memorable things I have ever done. And IK was there in the thick of it both nights. Thanks to Bob, Alex, Jay and the others. My only regret ... that I live far, far away from Chicago and won't get to see you guys perform for at least another year. Again, thanks. Keep up the great work! I love John Lennon very much and I know he was proud of the beautiful tribute that was put on by all the bands and acts Sunday night. Thank you, Gary, for letting us be part of the tribute in the theatre. I will never, ever forget the beautiful and overwhelming ovation from the audience that evening for the rest of my life. It was a magical moment and I’ve never been prouder. Last but not least, I personally want to thank everyone for the caring, and sharing of warm feelings that were given to me in regard to my mother’s death just a month ago. We were sitting in the lobby Sunday night, trying to keep the singalong going but it seemed to be dying until Jay ran through on his way to his room and announced that he'd be right back! When you guys got there, it came alive. I can't remember when I've had so much fun. We were leaving at 6 so we had to give up and go to bed at 2... what a blast. Can't wait until next year. (Plus it's great to hang out with you, personally.) Jimmy was the best drummer there. I talked with him Sunday night, he's really nice. If it's ok, could you send me your mailing address at home, I'd like to send you some photos and a letter. I'm a regular letter writer, you know. I'll send you my sister Diana's E-mail address if you want to respond that way. My mailing address is: DENNY KRUSE- 1516 HEPBURN AVE- APT 7- LOUISVILLE, KY. 40204. I'd like to share my off-and-on musical experiences with you in that letter. If all this works out okay, just E-mail me and just say you did get the letter and whatever else.... My Mom bought me a ukelele when I was 5-years old and that's all it took. She was a show-biz type and I still miss her tremendously. Name: Chris Location: Valparaiso, Indiana Email: coverton@urschel.com Date: 02/22/2005 Comments Hey Jay, Greeting from your friends in Northwest Indiana. We really had a great time at the Edison Park Inn. The show was amazing as always. Just so you won't think that I am retarded; when we were talking about my birthday and I said it was on the 22nd "George & me", I meant George Washington then I got totally confused when you said it was the 24th but they changed it to the 25th. But, then, I was talking to someone who does John Lennon and Beatle tribute numbers so, O.K. I guess I AM RETARDED! It was nice to see Paul, I mean John, no Paul (what is he doing with his MBE ?) from British Export there just having a good time as a fan like the rest of us. Instant Karma and British Export were our absolute favorites from last years Abbey Road and we are looking forward to seeing you both in Louisville in May. See you then if not before. Keep up the good work (and please share some of your energy). Chris Name: Harriet Location: ParkRidge Email: Date: 02/20/2005 Comments Great show at Edison Park Inn last night. It was one great performance after another. Bravo! I had some splainin' to do when I got home at 2:30am, but man was it worth it. I'll be back on Oct.8th and I'll be bringing a crowd. I didn't want to send and e-mail of that size unless it was O.K. with you. If not, perhaps I could send it to you on CD. Let me know. Jay, all of the songs were great but my favorite song by far was Isolation which I had never heard performed live before. The month before going to Cleveland we prepared ourselves by going to see a local group at Front Porch Music called the Beatle Nerds. They had a guest performer show up by the name of Phil Angotti and bought his Juliet Foster CD. You can "imagine" my surprise when I got on your website. Small world! You're all so talented at what you do. I spoke to Bob B. about burning a CD for the band containing the pics I took at AROTR. We're also working on making digital copies of the yearbook pics from Bob's performance at Stagg HS many moons ago. I hope to be at Fitzgerald's on the fourth so I'll bring them there. I just love idea of a Lennon tribute band. It's so great to hear Lennon's solo songs along with his Beatle songs. I first heard you at the Orland taste and then again at AROTR. You really blew them away at both shows. I hope the pictures I took for Bob Dobro turned out OK. A big thanks to you all for your great performances. I wish you were playing somewhere sooner than September 4th!! Everyone we talked to was impressed with the terrific John Lennon tribute, especially the "post-Beatles" songs that John recorded ("Mother" just to name one). I will certainly relay my comments and request to the promoter that the Band be invited to AROTR for 2005!! Name: Steve Location: Mt Prospect Email: heybulldawg72@yahoo.com Date: 08/08/2004 Comments Gang, Just wanted to say you guys are awesome. I love the Lennon tribute show you put on everytime I come out. Not sure if this has ever been requested and I don't want to make any waves but here goes... seeing as there is so much musical history - and so many fans missing and wishing for it (at least in my circles)is there ever any chance of a Beatle Bros reunion show ? You know, maybe just one show. A one time gala event that would unite Beatles fans and assuredly bring down the house. I just know that a thousand people would come out - maybe more. I love Instant Karma and not that I won't continue to come out to see Instant Karma as much as I can, but the Beatle Bros hold / held a special place in the hearts of so many people and Beatles fans. They really touched all of us with a once-in-a-lifetime musical essence and presence that very many bands of any type rarely achieve. I mean, even the Eagles got back together after Hell Froze Over. I am sorry if this sounds selfish, but it's just a wandering thought from the wandering mind of a Beatles fan who just can't seem to fix the hole where the rain gets in. All the Best Stevie Name: Susan Location: St. Louis, Missouri Email: sec1@swbell.net Date: 08/07/2004 Comments Guys, this is a wonderful website!
